About this town hall template

A community town hall should follow what residents care about, not the loudest microphone. This town hall meeting agenda covers what matters most, how things are going, and questions from the room. The discussion slide asks which one issue people most want acted on, so you leave with a clear priority.

The first poll lets the room choose what to cover first: roads and transport, safety, schools or housing. An anonymous poll then asks how well the community is doing on that issue. Finally, a draw picks town hall questions from people who type ASK, so the floor isn’t taken by a few. It suits councils, community groups and associations.

When to use it

  • A community town hall or public meeting with local officials
  • Residents’ association or neighbourhood meetings
  • Any public meeting where a few voices tend to dominate

How to use it

  1. Use this template. All 10 slides land in your Slides, free. Edit the text on any slide, change any question, or add your own slides from a PDF.
  2. Run it. On a Zoom, Google Meet or Teams call, people answer in the meeting chat. In a room, they scan a QR code and answer on their phones. No app for anyone.
  3. See the room. Results land live, only you see who’s gone quiet, and a summary is ready when it ends.

FAQ

Town hall questions.

A town hall usually opens with a welcome and short updates, then gives most of the time to public questions and discussion. This template lets residents set the order of topics before the discussion starts.
