Live quizzes that show who's keeping up, while you're still teaching
Run live quizzes in Zoom, Google Meet or Teams that learners answer in the meeting chat, or on their phones in the room. See how many got it right.
Claryoo's live quizzes are quick knowledge checks for virtual and in-person training. On Zoom, Google Meet or Teams, learners answer by typing in the meeting chat; in a room, they tap an answer on their phones after scanning a QR code. You see how many got it right, and the results go into your summary.
How it works
- Write the quiz, or let Claryoo draft it. Describe your training and Claryoo drafts the polls and quizzes in order. Each quiz has a question, a few options and one or more right answers.
- Add it to your run of show. Put quizzes between your slides (add them from a PDF), so a check lands right after each module.
- Choose a timer if you want one: 30 seconds, 1 minute or 2 minutes, or close it yourself.
- Launch it. Press Next when you reach it, or launch it on its own. Share your screen so learners see the question.
- Learners answer. In the meeting chat with a letter like "B" or the answer itself, or with one tap on their phone in the room. For a quiz, the first answer is final.
- Close it and review. See how the room did, explain the right answer, and if too many missed it, ask it again later and compare.
What people in the session do
Online, learners answer in the meeting chat they already have open. No game PIN, no link, no app and no sign-up, on Zoom, Google Meet or Teams.
In a room, learners scan a QR code (or type a short code at claryoo.com/join) and tap their answer on a web page on their phone. When the quiz closes, their phone shows the results, their own answer and the right one. After their first answer, they're asked for a first name, so you can see who answered what; they can skip and stay a guest. Between questions, they can tap Got it, Lost me, Too fast or Example please. More in in-person sessions.
There's no leaderboard or points. A Claryoo quiz is a calm check on understanding, not a game.
What you see as the host
- Answers as they arrive, and how many of the room have answered.
- How many got it right, once you close the quiz.
- A second run to compare. Ask a quiz again after a recap and see the difference, for example "7 of 22 got it right, then 18 of 21 after it was asked again."
- A pick from the people who got it right. Start a volunteer pick from just the correct answers, to ask someone to explain their thinking.
- Who's falling behind. Alongside your quiz, you see who's gone quiet and which question has waited longest.
When the session ends, your summary covers what was covered, the quiz results and the follow-ups you owe.

Good for
- Trainers and learning teams: a quick check after each module, answered without stopping the session, and quiz results to show the impact afterwards.
- Facilitators: a quick recall check after a long morning, to see what actually stuck.
- Nonprofits and community programs: volunteer and member trainings where you need to know people are ready.
- Speakers: a one-question quiz that wakes up a keynote or a launch webinar.

FAQ
Do learners need an app or a game PIN?
No. On a call, they answer by typing in the meeting chat. In a room, they scan a QR code and answer on a web page on their phone.
Can a quiz have more than one right answer?
Yes. Mark every right option when you write it, and learners can type several, like "a, c".
Can learners change their answer?
No. For a quiz, the first answer is final, so the result shows what people really knew.
Can I run the same quiz twice?
Yes. Ask it again after you've recapped and compare the two runs to see what improved.
