About this orientation template

The first day sets how a new hire feels about the whole job. This new employee orientation presentation covers who’s who, how you work, and tools, access and first steps. The discussion slide asks what would help each person feel settled by the end of the first week, so you hear it from them directly.

The first poll asks how people feel on day one, from excited to overwhelmed, so nobody struggles quietly. Next, new hires pick what they most want to know, such as who’s who or what’s expected. A random pick for who shares a fun fact first makes an easy first day icebreaker. It suits HR, people teams and hiring managers.

When to use it

  • Welcoming a group of new hires in their first week
  • Running new hire orientation for remote or hybrid starters
  • Spotting who feels overwhelmed before it becomes a problem

How to use it

  1. Use this template. All 10 slides land in your Slides, free. Edit the text on any slide, change any question, or add your own slides from a PDF.
  2. Run it. On a Zoom, Google Meet or Teams call, people answer in the meeting chat. In a room, they scan a QR code and answer on their phones. No app for anyone.
  3. See the room. Results land live, only you see who’s gone quiet, and a summary is ready when it ends.
