About this live class template
In most classes, the students who are lost are the ones who never raise a hand. This interactive lesson template checks in on the topic, works through it together, then asks students to explain it back. The discussion slide asks which part of today’s topic feels least clear, a simple way to check for understanding.
An anonymous classroom poll opens the lesson: are students confident, getting there or lost? A short quiz asks how to remember something new, with explaining it in your own words as the answer. A random pick chooses who explains it to the class. It suits teachers, tutors and anyone running online class activities.
When to use it
- Starting a new topic and checking who is following along
- Running an online class where cameras are often off
- Getting students to explain ideas instead of just listening
How to use it
- Use this template. All 10 slides land in your Slides, free. Edit the text on any slide, change any question, or add your own slides from a PDF.
- Run it. On a Zoom, Google Meet or Teams call, people answer in the meeting chat. In a room, they scan a QR code and answer on their phones. No app for anyone.
- See the room. Results land live, only you see who’s gone quiet, and a summary is ready when it ends.
